The Decentralised Administration of Macedonia & Thrace contributes institutional and territorial expertise in water governance and regional implementation. Within IDRON, DAMT supports groundwater and aquifer-recharge activities, facilitates pilot implementation at territorial level, and strengthens alignment between innovative solutions and regional water-management frameworks.
The organisation plays a key role in bridging scientific knowledge with administrative practice. DAMT leads a pilot at Kalochori, rehabilitating a Constructed Wetland to enable wastewater reuse in agriculture. The site is equipped with smart monitoring and precision irrigation, feeding our DSS for informed water management decisions and transferability to other regions. DAMT’s involvement ensures that IDRON solutions are compatible with regulatory frameworks and regional planning needs.
