Varna Economic Development Agency (VEDA) is a regional development organisation dedicated to fostering innovation, sustainable growth, and economic competitiveness in the Varna region, Bulgaria. The Agency supports the deployment of smart technologies, environmental solutions, and data-driven approaches that enhance resilience in key economic sectors, including agriculture.
Within the IDRON project, VEDA contributes to pilot implementation through advanced drone-based monitoring, soil and crop analysis, and environmental data collection. The Agency also supports the assessment of water-use efficiency and carbon footprint monitoring, providing valuable insights into the environmental performance of innovative irrigation and water-management solutions. By linking technological innovation with territorial development, VEDA helps ensure that IDRON solutions are effective, measurable, and scalable across Mediterranean regions.
